Common Haldex Brake Chamber Cross-References

Replacing a Haldex brake chamber starts with the number on the can, but the number alone is not enough to confirm installation. Service chambers and spring brakes must also match the stroke, pushrod, mounting studs, ports, clevis, and available clearance.

SC-series and GC-series numbers

Haldex SC-series numbers identify service chambers, while GC-series numbers commonly identify combination spring brake chambers. The family name helps identify the component, but it does not confirm every dimension or installation detail.

Standard stroke and long stroke are not interchangeable labels

A Type 30/30 chamber may be offered in regular-stroke and long-stroke configurations. Match the stroke shown on the original chamber and verify the pushrod and port arrangement. Do not choose a replacement solely because both products are labeled 30/30.

What to measure when the label is unreadable

  • Service chamber or combination spring brake
  • Chamber size
  • Applied stroke or long-stroke marking
  • Pushrod overall and threaded length
  • Mounting-stud spacing and threads
  • Air-port size, position, and orientation
  • Clevis type and installation length
  • Clearance around the axle, suspension, and caging bolt

Search the Haldex cross-reference page, or browse GBK brake chambers and brake shoes.

Send GBK the complete Haldex number and product measurements if the chamber configuration cannot be confirmed.
